Qld Dems State conference will focus on the upcoming federal election
with a range of excellent speakers and workshops, including key
note speaker Julian Burnside, QC, Bravehearts founder, Hetty Johnston
and Meetya Iyer, Policy & Project Officer, YMCA.

Recycling Forum - Thursday 1 February 2007
Hosted
by the Young Australian Democrats (Qld)
Come along and listen to a Scientist, a Senator and a Toowoomba City
Councillor discuss the facts and the 'for and against' arguments behind
water recycling. There will be Q & A opportunities available with
the speakers and all members of the audience are invited to stay for
drinks and nibblies at the conclusion of the official proceedings.

for Sustainable Transport
Saturday 17 February 11.00am
Public
transport, walking and cycling should be government's transport
priority - this event gives you the opportunity to tell government
what you think.
Meet at Queens
Park, Brisbane City (Cnr George and Elizabeth Street) and walk through
city to parliament house. There will be interesting speakers at
each location.

least 1993, losing valuable time on more reliable and sustainable
measures such as water recycling, upgrading of existing infrastructure
and improving storage and savings of existing water.
